Keep the conversation flowing.
Less time moving between apps. More attention for the person on the other side.
STAY IN THE CONVERSATION.
A reply to a friend. A hello to someone new. A conversation that could become an opportunity. BabelTap is being built to help you write in the language that feels easiest, with less switching, copying and pasting.
A simpler way to keep talking↘Building for iPhone · Starting with Korean ↔ English
내일 괜찮아?Does tomorrow work?A little keycap with a big hello.A LITTLE EASIER, EVERY DAY
Less time moving between apps. More attention for the person on the other side.
A warm reply, a gentle no, a thoughtful question. Your intention matters as much as the words.
Let curiosity lead the conversation, even when the language is less familiar.
01 / WHAT BABELTAP DOES
Keep your attention on the person you’re talking to. Write, check the translation, and choose what to send, right from your keyboard.
Start with the words you want to say, in Korean or English.
Read the suggested message and make sure it says what you mean.
Insert the translated text. You decide when to send it.

03 / WHY BABELTAP BEGAN
After spending time in Korea following a move from the United States, the language used every day changed. Typing became more natural in one language, but both were still part of daily life. Switching between them could feel confusing.
Opening a translation app, copying a sentence, returning to a conversation and pasting it in felt like one step too many. Built-in translation could help, but the result didn’t always feel like the tone or intention we wanted to convey. BabelTap began with the wish to make that easier, and to talk more comfortably with people from different countries.
The aim is simple: make it easier to keep your words and your intent together, across languages. We’re developing the experience step by step, starting with Korean and English.
A SMALL KEY. A WIDER WORLD.
A new friend, an unexpected connection, or a conversation about work. BabelTap is being built so the effort of finding words doesn’t get in the way of finding out.
BabelTapA FEW THINGS TO KNOW
BabelTap is currently in development. A public download is not yet available on this website.
We’re starting with Korean to English and English to Korean. Making all languages easier to use is our long-term ambition, not a claim that every language is supported today.
No account is needed to read about BabelTap or view the examples on this website. There is no signup form here.
Before the app becomes available, we’ll explain what is sent to AI services, what is kept, and how to request deletion. The examples on this website do not send text to an AI service.
